Spring Programs
Sleepy Hollow Youth Lacrosse teams compete primarily with other teams who are members of Hudson Valley Lacrosse (HVL), a regional chapter of US Lacrosse, the governing body for all youth lacrosse in the United States.
REGISTRATION FOR THE 2023 SPRING SEASON WILL OPEN ON OR AROUND DECEMBER 1, 2022. PLEASE SIGN UP FOR OUR MAILING LIST FOR UPDATES.
For the upcoming 2023 Spring season we are planning to organize the following teams and programs:
Boys & Girls K-2 Lacrosse Clinics
The K-2 lacrosse clinics are designed to introduce boys & girls in Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades the fastest growing sport in the country. The main goal of the clinics is for the boys & girls to have fun so that they enjoy lacrosse and look forward to continuing to excel each and every week.
The clinics will be run by SHYL with help from parent volunteers. SHYL will be teaching different skills by using drills and exercises that are fun. These drills help develop important skills used in games. Multi-player exercises simulate game situations and build a knowledge of the game. Children will build confidence while having fun with their friends. Although there will probably not be any real games for this group, it will give them a head start for the years when they WILL play other teams.
A lacrosse stick is required with eye protection and mouthguard optional (soft balls will be used).
IN ORDER TO OFFER A K-2 PROGRAM THIS UPCOMING SPRING WE NEED COACHES!!! PLEASE CONTACT SLEEPYHOLLOWYOUTHLACROSSE@GMAIL.COM IF INTERESTED.
